Формируется DAO для покупки команды NFL Denver Broncos

Команда Национальной футбольной лиги США «Денвер Бронкос» (Denver Broncos) выставлена ​​на продажу и следующим владельцем может стать DAO.

По оценкам ESPN, команда будет продана за 4 миллиарда долларов, что и стремится собрать DAO (децентрализованная автономная организация).

Эту работу возглавляет Шон О’Брайен, ветеран юридического отдела Cisco Systems с 10-летним стажем. О’Брайен сказал, что DAO заработает на этой неделе.

По словам О’Брайена, DAO также будет зарегистрирован как кооператив, и участники DAO будут иметь параллельную долю собственности в кооперативе.

Команда находится в ведении траста с тех пор, как ее владелец Пэт Боулен умер в 2017 году. НФЛ дала понять, что хотела бы, чтобы сделка была закрыта к началу сезона 2022 года.

Команда Green Bay Packers из Висконсина принадлежит общественному кооперативу, впервые зарегистрированному в 1923 году в структуре, аналогичной той, которую DAO использовало для покупки Denver Broncos.

В 1980 году НФЛ ввела новые правила, запрещающие «децентрализованную» собственность, управляемую сообществом, которую используют Green Bay Packers (хотя у команды есть исключение).

Правила гласят, что собственностью должен руководить один человек, который имеет не менее 30% акций в команде, за небольшими исключениями для структуры семейной собственности. Также существует ограничение в 32 владельца на одну команду и продажа должна быть одобрена НФЛ.

В Канаде Канадская футбольная лига имеет две команды со структурой собственности сообщества: Saskatchewan Roughriders и Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
