Luxor запустила майнинг-пул по добыче Ethereum

Американская майнинговая компания Luxor Technology сообщила о запуске майнингового пула, нацеленного на добычу второй по капитализации криптовалюты.

«Мы внимательно следим за развитием ETH 2.0, и запускаем пул даже сейчас, поскольку считаем, что существует высокая вероятность того, что в этом году переход Ethereum на Proof-of-Stake не состоится», — заявил в комментарии CoinDesk соучредитель Luxor Mining Итан Вера.

Майнеры могут извлекать Miner Extractable Value. Сам пул оптимизирован под обнаружение uncle-блоков и совместим с сервисом Catalyst — он позволяет получать выплаты в биткоине.

Luxor также приступил к созданию группы интересов, чтобы Ethereum оставался на Proof-of-Work. В компании рассматривают алгоритм «как лучший способ обеспечить безопасность сети, децентрализацию и стимулирование перехода к более экологичной энергии».

«Мы считаем, что Proof-of-Work — самый надежный и проверенный механизм для публичных блокчейнов, включая Ethereum», — подчеркнул Вера.

Согласно пресс-релизу, Luxor Technology работает с крупными институциональными майнерами, включая Hut 8, и несколькими розничными игроками североамериканского рынка.

В мае 2021 года разработчик Карл Бихзейзен спрогнозировал, что после отказа Ethereum от Proof-of-Work затраты электроэнергии на поддержание сети могут сократиться в 2000 раз.

Напомним, в начале 2022 года Luxor Technology запустила сервис по торговле оборудованием для добычи биткоина. На платформе доступны новые и подержанные ASIC-майнеры, GPU и запчасти для устройств.
